Neck Lift
The cervicoplasty procedure is performed to remove excess skin on the neck. Dr. Fox makes an incision under your chin and behind your ears (or possibly in just one of these locations).The incisions are made in these specific locations so that the incisions will be mostly hidden and barely visible when healed.
Dr. Fox will then lift and tighten the skin and trim off any excess. Once the excess is trimmed Dr. Fox will secure the incisions with permanent sutures or a special type of permanent adhesive glue. A bandage and tape will be applied to the incision locations to reduce swelling and discomfort. An elastic bandage will be applied to your neck and head.
In some instances, when there are deposits of fat in the neck Dr. Fox may recommend Tumescent Liposuction to remove these deposits along with the Neck Lift procedure. Please click here for information on Tumescent Liposuction.
