Gynecomastia Correction
The surgical options for our patients with gynecomastia are mastectomy, liposuction-assisted mastectomy, or a combination of the 2 approaches. In most instances Dr. Fox will perform a mastectomy. In selected patients Dr. Fox in addition to performing the mastectomy, may elect to perform a limited amount of liposuction. Dr. Fox will select the approach that achieves the best outcome for you.
The most common incision approach is the intra-areolar incision, or Webster incision. The Webster incision extends along the circumference of the areola in the pigmented portion. The length of the incision varies according to the specific anatomy of the patient.
